Just Listed-Mario Brothers Toiletry Bags

Happy Monday!

I’m so happy to introduce a new set of Toiletry and Make Up Bags to the Pink Toe Press Etsy Shop!

These bags are a  fun bunch! They feature everyone’s favorite Italian Plumber: Mario …and all his friends!  A great gift for boys and girls, these bags are durable, attractive, and spacious. There are TWO sizes available: One Boxy Bag ( think DOP Kit) and a smaller pouch (for pencils or makeup).

The bags are of durable construction and fully lined. You can see the bright, colorful lining in the photos above. The bags are sturdy and quilted with an interfacing to maintain their shape. The boxy bags will hold up in your carry-on or your suit case  on travel trips. Tuck one in your book-bag to keep your computer chargers, stylus, and mouse all in one place! I keep one in my purse with my phone charger, a spare pen, and lipstick!

 

Two awesome Mario   fabrics make these a great gift for girls, boys, or adults!  One features all your favorite characters from the games. ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas

Stockings for myself and my furry friends.

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, two creatures were stirring as they’d heard a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, each hand-made…and covered in cat hair.

This post welcomes the newest addition to Pink Toe Press‘ holiday line-up: Custom Pet Stockings. These stockings are hand-made with love and care using felt and embroidery threads. The stockings you see in this posting were made for my two cats. Customers are able to personalize the colors of the stocking from available felt colors to match the color fur of their pets. Hand-embroidered and embellished with vintage buttons and ric-rac, these stockings are a must-have for any pet lover!

The two design options: Realistic fur colors; Festive bright colors.

Currently, there are two color options available: Realistic Fur Colors and Festive Bright Colors. Each will have a plain backing with most embellishments saved for the front of the stocking. Designs are reversible and can be hung either way.

Rudolph the THREAD Nosed Reindeer

You know Dasher and Dancer, and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid, and Donner and Blitzen.
But do you recall, the most famous reindeer of all? It’s Rudolph, the THREAD-nosed reindeer!

I made this fun Christmas decoration the other day and I’ve been dying to share it ever since. This is a decorative embroidery I made using custom PAINT BY NUMBER FABRIC. The fabric was custom made using vintage paint by number artwork, which I then placed in a faux-bois embroidery hoop. The snowflake and Red-Nose embroidery was hand-applied and the whole piece is finished in the back to make the artwork more durable and to prevent any threads from coming loose.

The perfect addition to any Christmas decor. Just the right amount of Christmas and Kitsch to really make a place. A fun take on paint by number in a more manageable size. This is a Pink Toe Press EXCLUSIVE. You won’t find this anywhere other than the Pink Toe Press Etsy shop.

Retro Aprons with Quilted Detail

Here is  a sneak peek of my newest aprons! They are a similar design as my Retro Fruits and Veggies Apron that I made around the holidays.

The perfect color combination: salmony pink, mint!

I am in love with the fabrics for this apron… the little woodland creatures are a delight. I’ve named this apron “Pink Woodlands” because of that fabric. It has a lot of quilted detailing from the bib to the waistband to the neck-ties. A lot of detail, love, and time went in to creating this apron!

Cute hedgehogs, squirrels, and mushroom adorn this cute apron!

The second one that I’ve been working on is this cute apron with a summery strawberry print. This apron is called “Strawberry Fields” and would be a great hostess gift, housewarming gift, or gift for a bride-to-be.  Wait until you see the rest of the apron…what a great color combination!

Makes me want to go strawberry picking!

Like the Pink Woodlands apron, Strawberry Fields is made using cotton fabrics and has beautiful quilted detailing in the bib and the straps!

Good Luck Charms

I would like to introduce to you my newest addition to my Etsy shop and the Handmade Galleries, Pink Toe Press’ LUCKY FEET! These Lucky Feet are a lovely little good-luck charm that you can carry with you wherever you go. They are a lovely new alternative to the traditional “good luck” charms.

Throughout my formative years,  I always wanted to have my very own “Lucky Rabbit’s Foot,” but I was never lucky privileged enough to get one. My parents were pretty smart about which fads they endorsed and which they discouraged, and a “Lucky Rabbit’s Foot” was never mine.

That being said, my father is a hunter and a practical man,  he did offer to bring me home the foot of a rabbit from one of his hunting trips, but I never did take him up on that For years I envied all the other kids who had the brightly-colored lucky animal’s foot dangling from their backpacks or trapper-keepers…but I digress.

NOW as a vegetarian and maker, I have found a lovely solution to my childhood dream of having the foot of a poor, dead critter on my bag. These Lucky Feet are handmade with love and care, crafted from Eco-Felt, ribbon and string, and can be clipped just about anywhere. You can use them as a zipper pull, key chain, or an accent on a bag.  An added bonus is that they are cruelty free, animal friendly, and vegan friendly.   I currently have a variety of color options available for these feet, and they come in “Rabbit” or “Cat.”
