Mario Hair Bows and Bow Ties

Can you tell I’ve been on  a sewing kick lately?

 

I just listed  these adorable Mario hair bows and bow ties in the Pink Toe Press Etsy Shop! They are handmade by yours truly!

Where the Unicorn Roam

If you hadn’t noticed from earlier posts, I’ve been on a bit of a hair-bow kick! I’ve been breaking into my vintage fabric stash and making some amazingly cute bows for hair of all lengths.

My current favorites are the Star Wars Bows (of course) and these cute Unicorn Bows. The fabric is a vintage fabric from the mid 1960’s to early 1970’s. The name on the selvage just says “Carousel”. I purchased it from a woman at the RoseBowl Flea Market in Pasadena who had a more than impressive collection of vintage fabrics for sale. I think that Flea Market is one of the things I miss most about LA, but I digress…

They are currently for sale in my Etsy shop. Each bow is handmade by yours truly. I am currently working on a different style bow that does not have the seam along the edges. It’s a bit wider, but not as tall as this design. Stay tuned.

Alligator clips make for easy styling. The clips are good for a variety of hair lengths.
